Physician Assistant Senior Celebration Awards

PA Senior Celebration Keynote speaker Dawn Morton-RiasThe Senior Celebration, this year punctuated by a keynote address by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant's president and CEO Dawn Morton-Rias, EdD, PA-C, is one of the most anticipated events of the year. It brings together proud students, faculty and staff to honor the outstanding accomplishments of PA students. This year's recipients are exemplary of the mission of the department and the dedication to caring for underserved populations.

The Cora Lee Alston Memorial Award

This award is given to a student who has demonstrated personal integrity and commitment to underserved communities. The 2018 recipient is Courtney Jankowski.

Patricia Ann Auth Memorial Award

This award is in recognition of a student who is in good academic standing, has demonstrated outstanding personal and professional growth and whose life reflects the values of Drexel University Physician Assistant program education. The 2018 recipient is Chiamaka Nwangwu.

Tina Lopopolo Memorial Rotation Award

This award is in recognition of a student who demonstrates leadership, high character, deep concern for patients, values that reflect the mission of the program and clinical excellence in rotations. The 2018 recipient is Shelby Walker.

The Benjamin Eskin Memorial Award

This award is given to a student who has put forth exceptional effort and demonstrated qualities of personal dedication and integrity. Carrie Nettles is the 2018 award recipient.

PA Senior Celebration Class President Eddie Supan '18David Buck Memorial Award

This award is given to a student who has a true love of life, positive outlook despite adversity, fervency in every undertaking and ability to consistently produce beyond the minimum expected without complaints. The 2018 recipient is Edward Supan.

The Wilbur W. Oaks and David Major Preceptorship

This award is given to a student who shows outstanding leadership, values that reflect the mission of the program, commitment and service to the community and general excellence. There are two 2018 recipients. They are Carrie Nettles and Elizabeth Wall.

The Elizabeth Peabody Stolberg Memorial Award

This award is in recognition of a student who has demonstrated clinical and academic excellence in the Physician Assistant program. The 2018 recipient is Daniela Rodriguez-Jaquez.

IMPACT Award

The 2018 recipient of this award is Colbert Oakley.
